Steering House development purchased this home in 2011 and began a careful historic restoration shortly thereafter. Like many properties in the area this home had been converted to an SRO in the 1950’s. Fortunately, most of the historic features were not lost. Our restoration consisted of an SRO to 1-family conversion, complete refresh of all the beautiful woodwork throughout the home, upgraded mechanicals, Landmarks approved facade overhaul, installation of new bathrooms and a modernization of the very outdated kitchen. All details were either restored or recreated with period appropriate antique finishes. We are proud to have this home featured on the 2013 Crown Heights North house tour.
