We’ve been replacing the old wood floor joists on the parlor floor with heavy-gage metal joists this week in preparation for the finished concrete floor we’ll be pouring down the road. The old joists can’t carry the 40,000 lbs of concrete so we’ll be reusing them elsewhere in the house for bookshelves, stair treads, etc…
