The gut renovation of this historic Brooklyn Heights carriage house transformed it into a luxurious, contemporary residence while preserving its original charm. Modern finishes and energy-efficient systems were introduced, creating a warm and functional living space. A key aspect of the project involved excavating 12′ beneath the building to add a new cellar level, featuring a home gym and media room. Despite the challenges of digging under a historic structure, the renovation added significant square footage without altering the external footprint, blending historic preservation with modern design and innovation.
